About Me

About The Book

Randolph was written during the 2020-2021 national lockdown in England. Randolph is a family friendly book that readers can connect to, the book allows the reader to be transported on an adventure with the loveable hedgehog. The book follows 'Randolph', a hedgehog as he embarks on a journey around the world and forges new friendships with other exotic animals. Randolph is the first in a series of books from the Author that aim to be both educational and exciting to read. Randolph explores themes of loneliness, relationship and adventure.

Whilst strolling through Sheffield's ever-present green spaces one summers day in 2020, the Author observed a cute hedgehog snuggled up against a small discarded broom head, between a park railing and pedestrian footpath. The animal appeared to have mistaken the broom head for another hedgehog. What the hedgehog thought was a new best friend was actually just a household object. This scene struck a chord in the author's heart and hence 'Randolph' was conceived.
